You are rushing home because your favorite team is about to take to the pitch with friends and family waiting for you and you are desperate to watch the match on television. But then, out of the blue, you run into a traffic jam be it on the highway or in the city and are going nowhere. Because the season is slowly coming to an end you want to witness every moment of the exciting battle for silverware in the domestic and European competitions or the nerve-racking battle against relegation. Frantically you search for at least some coverage on the radio. Seconds turn into hours as you inch towards your destination, always aware that any moment a simple stroke of genius on the pitch can make or break your day or even your entire season.

For Opel OnStar customers the scenario described above is somewhat less daunting as they can take advantage of the 4G LTE Wi-Fi Hotspot that enables high-speed internet connectivity for up to seven mobile devices. The built-in 4G LTE structure is specifically designed for in-vehicle use: it is integrated into the vehicle’s electrical system and includes an external antenna to maximize connectivity and deliver a stable internet connection. As the OnStar system comprises an independent SIM card encapsulated in its module, customers can easily access connected services. As many public and pay-TV broadcasters now offer the possibility of streaming football games live and on the go on mobile devices, Opel OnStar subscribers can simply pull over at the nearest rest area and enjoy the match.
